It’s no secret that the Hollywood Comet loves musicals.
In 2010, I revealed I had seen 400 movie musicals over the course of eight years. Now that number is over 600. To celebrate and share this musical love, here is my weekly feature about musicals.
This week’s musical:

Universal Pictures

Richard Bartlett
Starring:
Sal Mineo, John Saxon, Luana Patten, Shelley Fabares, Edward Platt, Fay Wray, Rod McKuen, John Wilder, Alan Reed Jr., Douglas Fowley, Bob Courtney, George Winslow, Duncan Richardson, Walter Reed

Jimmy Daley (Saxon) has a rock n’ roll combo with his friends (Mineo, McKuen, Reed Jr., Courtney). While Jimmy has ambitions of hitting it big, his parents (Wray, Platt) have different goals for them. Meanwhile, Jimmy has a contentious relationship with his girlfriend, Joan (Patten).
